Outreach

God calls us not to a life of private faith but to a faith that reaches ever outward.  Here at Washington Street UMC, we try to provide opportunities to live into the outreaching love of Christ by sharing our faith with others.

 

Please join us for any of our outreach activities!

 

Every other month, we travel to one of our local nursing homes to sing favorite hymns and visit with the residents.  All are welcome to join us.

 

Our next "hymn sing" will be Sunday, February 28 at 1:30 pm.  We will share our faith through music with the residents of Seneca House.

Many of our local parades here in Tiffin travel right past the front door of our building.  Because of this, we put seats out on our front porch and serve drinks and snacks to our neighbors during every local parade.  Whether you would like to help serve or are just looking for a place to sit or a warm drink, stop by WSUMC some time and join us as we enjoy the parade!

 

This past year, we joined with our brothers and sisters at St. Paul's UMC and Ebenezer UMC in Tiffin to provide some free family-friendly activities before and after the Heritage Festival parade.  We plan on this becoming an annual event, so come out and join us next year.
